What is an appraisal of my hurricane damage?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

The appraisal of your hurricane damage is a specific itemization of every loss. For example, down to every shingle, every pane of glass has a certain amount and value for which you need to be compensated to rebuild your home. In addition, your personal items, every item that was damaged in the storm, needs to be properly valued.

If you hire a hurricane attorney, they can assist you with hiring a public adjuster so that you can make sure that each and every one of your losses are properly compensated versus trusting your own insurance company. Your own insurance company is not your friend. You need a proper appraisal so that everything can properly be paid for.
