What documents or evidence should I bring with me the first time I meet my attorney following my Florida car accident?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

After your car accident, you should bring several things to you, during your first meeting with an attorney. You should bring a copy of the accident report or drivers exchange, a copy of the other person’s insurance card, a copy of their driver’s license, if they provided that to you, crash photos that you might have taken of the scene or of your car, the names and phone numbers of any witnesses to your accident, medical bills, any medical records, and also any letters you may have received from any insurance company. All these things are important so an attorney can properly assess your claim during the first meeting.
